How to insert internal links to another pages of my site?

Hi!
How can I insert links to another pages on my site? Instead of http://www.mydomain.com/aboutme.html a want something like [(main_url)]/aboutme.html, because I plan to move my site to another domain and want to save all internal links.

Use [~id~] for all your internal links, where ’id’ is the number you will see in the manager’s document tree after the page title (in brackets).

No, this way doesn’t work. I’ve inserted [~14~] and now have link like http://alias_of_14page.html. See screenshots attached.

Are you using the base url in your template ?

No... How?

Here is the solution:
1. You must use [(base_url)] tag, for example like this: [(base_url)][~14~]
2. When inserting link, you must specify protocol to "Other", see screnshot attached.

The recommended way to approach this when templating in MODx is to add this immediately after the opening HEAD tag...

This will ensure that your paths are always relative to the root of the site, regardless of any virtual directories (i.e. when using alias paths or serving error pages for directories below the root).
