    Hi all,

I have just gone in phpMyAdmin to export the database on my development server, ready to put on the clients server, I have just noticed that the database is 19.7 MB, its not a big site at all, I looked at the sql and their seems to be repeated data.

Does anyone know how this might have happened?

    Thanks
    Lee

This is the area that is repeated:

      INSERT INTO `cms_event_log`..........

        Goto Event Log, empty them.

        Goto Audit Trail, empty them.

If you have enabled statistics, empty them also by using "Backup Manager" you will see a link infront of log tables.

        Hope this helps.

That table is basically logging everything you’ve done in the Manager area, so that you can view the Manager area logs and see what other site staff have been doing.

It’s safe to empty this table of all records in phpMyAdmin if you like.

I’m, pretty sure there’s a way to do this from within your MODx Manager area too but I couldn’t tell you how off the top of my head.

You can also view the audit trail and event log in the manager, and there’s a link to truncate those columns.
