    I want to edit a document’s [*content*] from the font end. I believe know how to handle the user validation and page layout (ie, from content to RTE based on W.U.G.). What I don’t know, is how to actually make the form submit through the doc parser and become permanent content on the page.

    @Doze
    I’ve abandoned the idea of developing a plug in to handle quick edit validations and permissions for now, this seems like a much more permanent and useful solution. I will however document and submit the snippet for review and scrutiny.:D

      Why not use the existing weblogin with the existing weblogin to manager synch plugin, and Quickedit?

        Yeah.. I would thing that it would be easiest to do a plugin that prevents certain users from accessing the manager even when logged in and then use the manager login snippet to make the login for the users and quickedit to appear..

        But, if you want to make your own, I’m in no way against it ofcourse.. smiley You could do the saving of the document in your snippet by using Docmanager.

        editing document:

        require_once(’assets/libs/docmanager/document.class.inc.php’);
        $doc = new Document($id,’content’);
        $content=$doc->Get(’content’);
        $doc->Set(’content’, ’<p>’.$content.’</p>’);
        $doc->Save();

          thanks for the direction Doze.

          I’m not knowledgeable enough to write a plug-in yet. I’m an actionscript programmer posing as a php programmer at the moment. Gotta get used to not having my flash events around.

          I’ll share my snippets for this.

            all Web2Manager seems to do is create a webuser that has the same password and account info as a manager. Would I need to write another plugin to give the webuser access to quickedit?

              I don’t know to what role Web2Manager plugin puts the users, but if that role doesn’t have the necessary rights to use quickedit, then yes.. you could modify Web2Manager plugin so that you can configure to what role is the synchronized users set to..
