    I’m wondering why a default installation includes the following code inside the default template. I see that it’s supposed to do something with IE6, but I still have problems getting things to line up in IE6. What is this code saying?

    <!--[if lte IE 6]>

      <style type="text/css" media="screen, tv, projection">
            body { behavior: url(assets/js/csshover.htc); } /* hover:anything support */
            #content { margin-left: 0px; } /* to avoid the BMH */
            a,  a:link { border-bottom-style: solid } /* becuase IE just doesn't dot */
      </style>

      <script type="text/javascript" src="assets/js/sleight.js"></script>

    <![endif]-->

    And why does it include a Blog RSS Feed to page 11? Any specific reason why page 11 is the chosen one?

      Im a newbee myself but..
      those styles more than likely are specific to the template being used perhaps?
      I removed them from mine as im making a new template..and see no problems.
      I kept the js call however...

        Those are in what’s called an IE Conditional Comment, or "CC". The lte means any version of IE less than or equal to version 6.

        The first line (body/csshover bit) of CSS and the sleight are particularly handy in many sites, FWIW. It make IE 6/5.5 work with hovers on elements other than links and also supports transparency in 24-bit alpha channel .png files (used in the foreground).

          o cool,

          I see the usefulness of the cshover (a la sucker fish)
          body { behavior: url(assets/js/csshover.htc);

          that may be a keeper.
          But the other stuff..the png support should by now be in the sciptaculous, shouldnt it?
          The other styling..margin, link...etc.
          Just made my site look jacked up and I didn’t like it.
          I was wrong I had I removed sleight js too...
          What is that one for? Not sure about that one..

          Im sorry but if your using IE 5 you should throw away you 25k modem while your at it..
          But now I wonder what problem IE7 yields...anyone?

              "These go to 11..."

              May be a typo... should be a dedicated RSS feed page with a text/xml content type. Might be left over from original content ... off the top of my head anyway. tongue
