Alright so I just installed my first ModX deployment. I however have some questions.

    1. Are there any add ons for ModX that would help me run a review site? What I mean by review site is to have a bunch of categories and in those categories have products that people could review. Their comments/reviews would go below the products, an average score would be given. A good example is something like www.pbreview.com (a popular paint-ball site). So in summary what I want to do is ( I will use car accessories for example).

    Categories (Interior//Exterior/)
    User Clicks on Interior.
There the user sees a list of all the Interior Car Parts.
User selects an FM Transmitter from the list.
User can read reviews of that Transmitter/Write His Own Review

The review functionality I am planning to integrate in the future, not this second.

    2. I want to have 3 blogs on my site. One blog that I would write exclusive content in, the Second Blog would just link to other stories all over the web. Finally the third blog would simply display stories from the first two blogs ( kinda like a combined blog). What is the best way of doing this?

    Thanks In Advance grin

yes. Ditto is extremely flexible. Now to be fair there will be some work involved in setting up the listings but once one is setup the others should be very close to a copy past scenario.

In all truth Ditto could list an uninhibited # of blogs. If you allowed the installer to setup the demo you should be a able to see ditto at work on a single blog and multiple other directory listing scenarios in it.

Note: to my knowledge ditto doesn’t handle the actual blogging back end. But unless your allowing mutiple user to post blog entries you can simply use the modx /manager to post your blogs.

Either way there is a mountai of documentation on ditto in the forums and in documentation

Also, just so you know ditto is packed in modx by default.
