    Hi,

    Ok I’m building my web site ( http://boldstepdesign.com/modx ) and I’ve created like 8 documents and have deleted them, in my template that I have designed I have these main pages:
    * Home
    * Portfolio
    * Services
    * About us
    * Templates
    * Tutorials
    * Contact

    While I haven’t got them all bulit yet, I’ve got them in order I want the index.php?id=1
    to go in order from 1-7, I’ve created the about page but the ID is 8 instead of 4. I can’t figture out how to change the ID from 8 to 4 (I want to do it this way so ( 1-7 something straight and simple ) not (7.4.5. etc..)
    So the about page ID is 8 and I want to change that to 4. here is a screen shot of my admin panel.

      Two ways:

      1) Manually adjust the menu index on the meta content/general settings section of the page editor.

      2) Drag-and-drop via the sort pages option using the Doc Manager module.

          You can not manually set the ID’s of the documents, without going into the database, and knowing all the relations from the site_content table to other tables, and manually updating all those records. You can sort them however you want in menus, or the manager tree navigation like Ryan is suggesting though.

            In the manager => Modules =>docManager
            Click the tab Sort Menu items
            Select in the tree the folder you wish to sort.
            And drag and drop the items to sort them as you wish they appear.

            :-)

              I suggest the docManager really nifty.
