Ok quick questions because I think Im not thinking about this right:

I want one of my web managers to be able to post a blog on the front end(say newspublisher)
can I do this? or can it only be web users that do it this way?

If this is possible then I simply have my permissions messed up and need to revisit that. If however its not..PLEASE let me know because Im goin in circles. Thank you. grin

No not possible because News Publisher is intended for front-end use and access by front-end users; write your own or modify the News Publisher to fit your needs. It’s very possible, you just need to do a little coding to customize it to your needs, or wait for someone to contribute the same...

I see I see...thats what been driving me nuts the past few days!

you just need to do a little coding

You know that sounds about right. unfortunately my confidence in skills are more in the xhtml/css arena.
However, I just might give it a shot . But now that gives me a solution for the problem Ive been having.

I have at least created users with same
        - username and password-(usingWeb2manager snipp)
-and have the Managerlogin snippet set up

So to make it simple for the two editors of this site, they just have to log in separately for blog type posts,
and for what APPEARS (to them) to be front end content editing (its a manager user with restricted access and upon log in does not enter the manager interface). I’ve made a special page where both these logins reside and it seems to work.

I just needed to know because it was bugging me.
        But now I understand....
Iv read that this permission system may go under some changes...I think thats good. It seems just a bit more complicated than necessary. User management is one of the best things I like about Xoops for instance...but in all fairness the structure is completely different.

Im really liking modx for some projects it seems to have many possibilities with all these snippets and tv’s floating around and how easy it is to implement them...it seems like much is possible!

-anyways thanks for answering that..I would’ve kept chasing my tail as I have been for the last two days! laugh
        -Now back to population...
