I’ve never really been happy enough with a piece of software or a framework to actually go to a forum and say "thanks, your development has really made my life easier". But ModX has actually managed to do that - more building bespoke CMSs or trying to adapt blogging tools with add-ons. After a small learning process, I now feel quite confident using the framework and obviously this’ll just grow. So I’d just like to say:

"Thanks ModX Team, you really have made my life easier!!!"

    A happy user.

It’s feedback like this that keeps us motivated to do what we do. Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback. And, believe it or not, we still have some more tricks up our sleeve....sort of a "but wait...there’s more!" kind of thing. MODx has come a long way in the past year and next year will bring even better changes. smiley

Boy would I echo that thanks as well.

We’ve tried a LOT of CMS products over the years, and MODx is the first one that actually lets us do whatever it is we want to do without making things difficult or impossible. I love the fact that I can drop down into PHP and access the content and custom fields (er .. TVs) for any page and bend them to my will. Nothing against CMSs that have a zillion different tags for output, but being able to take the content and do exactly what we need is fantastic.

Now with version .95 it is even faster and looks sexy enough that we’re excited to demo it for clients.

            Thanks, all!

WOW, I was about to make a thread with the same title.
I just downloaded ModX for my new site, and I am absolutely AMAZED with its power. I LOVE how it let’s me customize almost everything.

                Grade A Work!

So far I had tried Joomla, e107, and drupal, but modx just destroys all the others, IMHO.

And I’m sure I’ll be back for help in no time at all, but hopefully it shouldnt be a problem, this forum seems decently active.

I guess this can be the official "MODx Newbie Thank You Thread" =)

I tried MODx for the first time last week, and I’ve fallen in love with it! I’m launching a local web design firm, and I hope to use MODx as the base for client sites. Hopefully, I’ll find a few itches that need scratching, and be able to donate some PHP snippets in the future!

                    Thanks Again,
                    Jason

Sweet! More Geek family members, and in up-state New York the mountains of Pennsylvania even (I went to high-school just outside of Gettysburg, not too far away)? laugh
