I created a site using 0.9.5 beta 3 (or possibly a slightly older version). At some point the file manager was used to create a subfolder in assets/images. This folder has ownership apache:apache and permissions 700, consequently I can’t backup the directory prior to upgrading it (don’t have root access or apache pw on the hosting service).

    3 questions:

Is it possible to recover this situation from within the modx manager?

If this a bug, has it been fixed in 0.9.5?

If not a bug, what did I do wrong? I can see nothing in the site configuration to adjust permissions for newly created directories.

You’ll have to have your host ssh into your box and change the permissions/ownership on the folder manually. No other way.

Doesn’t your hosting control panel have a backup feature, or its own file manager?

There are a couple of modules for backing up that you should be able to use as well.
