Ok... I was in development stage for a long time (almost 1 year!) and never tested the permissions before. I want to create a user that will have manager access, the right to send/view messages, and create/edit/publish/etc. documents of a given document group (wich in fact is scattered through all the website).

What I did is to create a new role with the permissions I wanted (so edit/create/... documents). Then I created a document group and a user group and linked them together. Then I created a new user with the given role and group.

If i login as this new user, I’m still able to edit any document in the manager, even those that are not in the group associated with that user. If I remove the rights to edit/modify pages from the user role, i’m unable to access anything.

    What did I miss?

    Thanks!

You need to create another document group and attach every "public" document to it. e.g.:

      General: All documents
Editors: All docs attached with Editors

Hope this makes sense tongue ...
