    Hi,

I have already created a few sites with Modx 0.9.2.1 and so I wanted to try the brand new 0.9.5 version.
I did a clean installation on my local computer on xampp 1.5.1 .
All worked out fine and I could use the manager after installation.
But for some reason, I can not see my default site. As I did it on my local machine, I can tell you that my cpu-load was 100% while the page was loading. In my eyes this points to an infinite loop.

I completely uninstalled everything and installed it again (xampp and modx) but I had no success. Still the same problem.
I have tried a few tips from the 4-page-thread about a similar problem, but nothing worked.

    Any ideas? sad

Finally it works. It was the TemplateSwitcher. rolleyes

What about the template switcher was it? Please tell us EXACTLY how you fixed this. I have done two site with 0.9.2.1 flawlessly. This was the first site with 0.9.5 and it’s not even showing a default installation successful page. I even disabled the Template Switcher.

Honestly, the best use for the templateswitcher plugin is the delete button. Which is exactly what’s happening with 0951. tongue

So I’m at least good as a bad example. grin

The Template Switcher plugin was a cool idea, despite the fact that it doesn’t allow for page caching, and it’s a shame that it breaks in 0.9.5. I have a site that uses it pretty extensively to do some faux-Ajax dynamic forms (originally it was real Ajax, but there turned out to be little benefit and some negatives in doing it that way). It works perfectly on that 0.9.2.2 instalation, but unfortunately it looks as if I’ll never be able to upgrade it to 0.9.5 without completely re-doing those pages.
