Thank you I’m beginning to understand now.

Si Ive created a folder structure for shows...and now I can call the summaries for the latest when someone navigates to that section (the folder name). Very cool. With Quickedit added The basic web admin team can go in and edit on the frontend any additions or corrections, those articles-which I create as documents in that folder.

This in turn Keeps the Blogs completely separate...which they can just go crazy on I suppose. smiley

I guess I should read about this PHX stuff next. ..
Mod X was looking overwhleming at first...But I remeber feeling the same way with xoops.
I can see that modx is highly customizeable...
    good job all of you!

p.s I like the layout for your site, Sottwell
    Thanks

Actually, if you are referring to the sottwell.com site, that is running an alpha version of 0.9.7, which uses a totally different core, based on opengeek’s xPDO.

The template is just one of the basic templates that comes with MODx 0.9.5.

IS there a way to feature the last published document from a folder on the front page?

        I was thinking heck:

        [[NewsListing?startID=44 &total=1]]
        Which resulted in very close.....
But it only shows the summary...is there a cmnd to make it show the full?
(sorry Ive tried searching the forums for like 30 minutes...I think it must seem like a vague question! smiley
        -ty

        UPDATE:
        OK
Actually I tried the google search and it was a bit more specific.

        I did it!
        [[NewsListing?startID=44 &total=1 &trunc=0]]
