Single SIte or Multiple SIte Support

Guys,

I am just starting some research on MODx. Can anyone tell me whether this is built to support one site and one user base of that site, or multiple sites with security and permissions at a site level. I am trying to find a great CMS to allow us to support many different websites with different content owners who should only have permissions to see and change content on their sites.

Thoughts??

This is something that is definitely planned for a post 095 release. There are a lot of infrastructure level items that need to be addressed to pull this off properly, though. If you’d like more information in this regard. We’re considering putting together a public pledge drive of sort to accelerate these features but have not decided the best course to take as of yet. It will happen without question, and be supported and upgradeable in the core, but when is the determining factor right now. At the current rate, definitely not before Q3/Q4 ’07, though with the right financing in place, it could be done in a few months.
