Different root pages depending on domain-name

The domains
http://www.myenglishsite.com
and
http://www.myspanishsite.com
are domain aliases for the same Modx-installation. I would like to define different root documents depending on which domain name is being used.
If the user accesses
http://www.myenglishsite.com
it should map to
http://www.myenglishsite.com/english.html
and if the user accesses
http://www.myspanishsite.com
it should map top
http://www.myspanishsite.com/spanish.html
Is there a simple way of doing this? Modx-way? With .htaccess and mod rewrite?
NOTE. The domain-names used in the example above are not existing.

This will be accomplished via "contexts" in a future release. More on that soon.

you could do it with a plugin for now.. look for the subsites plugin for a little example
