modx file manager

    Hi all,

    I have installed modx 0.9.5 in a RH linux system... In this I can not access the file manager .. It gives ’Access denied’ error.. I check the file permissions in apache but it all seems to be in order... Has anyone experience it ? any ideas guys ?/

      In the Manager access, under Configuration (TOOLS --> CONFIGURATION), goto the File Manager tab and look at your File Manager path. The path should ultimately end with /modx/, so since it’s not letting you access that, try adding a assets/ to the end of the path. If your File Manager starts working now, then your host (or server) won’t let you have root access to the MODx directory. I believe you can still use the File Manager for any directory, just not the root MODx one.
