is it possible to include content from a remote MODx site in an other site on a second server?

Explanation: We have our main site up and running with MODx. Now I want to set up a small microsite which has partly the same content which is already in the main site. I don’t want to link to the main site as the microsite shall stand separate from the main site.

Thanks in advance (and for MODx anyway ...)

Here is one way I can think of - I’m very new to MODx though so be warned that this could be completely wrong!

You could directly duplicate the original site (copy the database and MODx install), making sure you change the settings in manager/includes/config.inc.php (so the new install points to the new database) then go in and delete the stuff that isn’t necessary (probably best done in the MODx interface rather than in the database itself). This would perhaps be the easiest way of doing things if all the stuff you don’t want in the new site is under a few major subtrees and users (so you just delete a few subtrees and users to get rid of all the stuff you don’t want).

        to be more precise:

I don’t look for a way to copy the content once to the second site. Then I would have to redo this for every update. Perfect would be if I can have one content source where I do all updates and these do also reflect to the microsite.

        TIA

That would take plugins, keyed to the various "onSave...." events.

Could he use a DB bind or eval TV to pull the page content from the main site into the micro site?

Or could he use an RSS feed on the main site and pull that into the micro-site?
