On the old CMS system I worked with (a commercial one), the file repository was quite nice, and the ability to access files in different ways was quite developed.
1. I would like to have a series of files/pages with, that I can tag with selected flags (e.g., Art; Writing; Music).
2. I would like to have a summary page that:
a. Automatically searches for all files with that tag in a specific area/directory
b. Displays title/summary of those files in a defined sort order (e.g., by published date, alphabetical by one of the fields, etc)
c. Displays only the number of summaries selected (e.g., display 3 newest)
d. provides links to the full pages for each item.
e. provides an ability to go to next ____ items (e.g., display next 3, then previous 3 or next 3, and so on).
3.The kitchen sink.
This was a great feature on the system used and one I’m hoping is either already duplicated, or can be via a mod.
Basically it allowed me to specify:
a. meta-field to search
b. content of field to search for
c. meta-field to sort by (e.g., title, summary, various defined tags)
d. order to sort by (using that meta-field) e.g., alphabetically/numerically
e. how many items to display
f. which fields to display of those items
g. whether or not one can page to the next ___ grouping of items.
Samples can be seen on the home page of www.cpsbc.ca by looking at the Announcements, and the listing of Historical Announcements.
All you need to do all that and the kitchen sink too is Ditto:

Fantastic - that’s made me very happy - now to figure it out.
Thanks,
