    Hi,

I am quite new to Modx and CMS in general. I chose ModX in some part based on the default template, which appeared to be ModxCSS, judging by the demo on opencms.com.

However, now that I have installed it, none of those templates are available. The only template I have is "Minimal Template".

What am I missing here? I’d appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction smiley

When you installed, you did not choose to "install default content" which installs some demo pages AND the templates that those demo pages use.  If you have a site togeter and you just want to add your content without all the demo crap, then you would install MODx with the default content unchecked, but for anyone new to MODx I would seriously recommend that you install the default content so you can pick it apart to see how it works.

Go ahead and reinstall MODx (you may have to unzip the file you downloaded again to get a fresh copy of the "install" folder as MODx deletes it when it’s done, but you should only have to re-upload the install folder), choosing update this time, and make sure you check "install default content".

Hmm, just did a re-install and I did not see this option. Only thing that was not checked was "Overwrite Sample Website" which I would assume is what I want. I will try it again with that box checked this time.
