I installed ModX two days ago, and I LOVE it. I created a new template, and it’s working fine, but I’m having difficulty getting DropMenu to output anything. I’ve read the docs, and tried more than 10 different sets of parameters. Here are some examples I’ve tried from other postings I’ve seen:

    [!DropMenu? &menuName=`topMenu` &startDoc=`0` &levelLimit=`3` &topnavClass=`topMenubar` &hereClass=`activeLink`!]
    [[DropMenu? &menuName=`topMenu` &startDoc=`1` &levelLimit=`3` &topnavClass=`topMenubar` &hereClass=`activeLink`]]
    [[DropMenu?]]

I’m frustrated. (Please don’t tell me to read the docs, because I already did!) The only thing it generated was a blank line. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I have only two pages on my site. Help!

I’m not familiar with DropMenu since its deprecated and Wayfinder is so awesome for creating menus. Why not use Wayfinder? It should be installed already if you have a recent version of MODx. If you don’t have it installed among your snippets, then (http://modxcms.com/Wayfinder-868.html).

But a question -- if you only have "two pages" on your site -- what’s your call going to list? Try creating a folder and putting several documents inside, then use that folder ID for your startDoc or startID or whatever DropMenu uses.

I got Wayfinder working almost instantly. (I thought Dropmenu was installed, but it wasn’t ... duh!)

        Thanks for your help!
