    Hi dear MODxers,

I haven’t found anything close to this issue throughout the forum so here it is. To be honest, this is my first post after having been using MODx successfully and happily on different live websites for a year. Answers to my problems were always lying somewhere in the forum... But I have spent the whole day trying to solve this issue, so I dare to do my coming out at last !
    Here’s the thing :
Having had troubles updating site bernardferriere.com, I finally installed 0.9.5 from scratch onto the server (infomaniak.ch, php version 4.4.4, MySQL Version 4.1.22, with Linux imu93 2.6.18_IMU-131 #1 | My OS is Windows XP, and I use Firefox) and that works perfectly fine. It’s even brilliant.
But when I dump my database, saved from my 9.2.2 live installation, although the site is browsable, various problems occur :
    - when refreshing the site I get a

[tt]warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/www/.../web/manager/processors/cache_sync.class.processor.php on line 180 [/tt]

and it won’t get rid of 6 cached pages out of 8

    - Tiny MCE doesn’t show when I want to edit documents, and I get the

[tt]Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/www/.../web/manager/actions/mutate_content.dynamic.php on line 1035[/tt]

    - I can’t load new pictures with MaxiGallery through the frontend. I get a parser error :

    [tt]Error: mkdir(assets/galleries/2/) [function.mkdir]: Permission denied
    Error type/ Nr.: Warning - 2
    File: /home/www/.../web/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(748) : eval()’d code
    Line: 359[tt]

What to do ? Help please !

Just to confirm: You installed 0.9.5 to a fresh database as a new installation, and then you imported the data from your previous 0.9.2.2 database?

If so, then I suspect that you need to run the installer again as an upgrade installation. It will look for things that need to be changed between the two versions and sort that out for you. I expect that would be much simpler than trying to track down the specific issue that has cropped up here, and it might eliminate others that you hadn’t found yet.

Here’s what I do in these circumstances: I make a new database and import all of my structure and data from my old 0.9.2.x installation. Then I create an appropriate config file (which you should now have) and upload that with the rest of the 0.9.5 files. Then I run the installer as an upgrade, and it does it’s magic and makes everything as it should be.

        Oh...

The MaxiGallery issue appears to me to be unrelated. Looks like you just need to set the right permissions (777) on your galleries directory. You’ll get that error if the directory is not writeable.

I indeed managed to fix the maxigallery with the setting all CHMOD to 777.

Isn’t it though? The devs did one helluva makeover on the interface. And that’s nothing compared to all of the changes on the back end.
