Directly include content from a document in another document

The title says it all. My template is locked, the home page is locked as well, but I would like to have a content editor edit onlya small welcome text on this page. My thought was to create a separate document that he has access to and ’import’ the content from this document through a call on my home page document.

Another suggestion would be to use a chunk, but that would expose all other chunks as well and give the content editor chunk rights. Right?

Any hints?
