(.) a hack?

A internet company’s website I was investigating about getting a job seems to have gone offline, first there was this ...



..and now the url is saying that there is no website configured.

Typing (.) into google returns nothing, as in not even a "no matches, did you mean....? "

Hmmm, anyone know the meaning of the symbol? ( it might help me get the job )

Could possibly have been hacked, or their webmaster is fiddling and has deleted all the files (hence the latter message).

Or they could be shifting stuff to a new server, have re-pointed the domain, but haven’t got the pages up first which is bad practise.
