I was reading up on the Jot wiki entry and came across this:
Best practise for including comments
The best practise for comment-enabling your documents is to create a chunk for each type of Jot call you will use. Include each chunk in a template and link it to your articles. Try to avoid direct jot calls in the content field of a document (even if it’s a chunk).
How can this be done? Is it a TV or is he saying create a new template just for Jot? Though I’d like users to be able to comment from the article and not have to click on another link.
Thanks for any and all help,
Chuck
What you can do is create a chunk, then create a TV for your template, put the TV call into your template, wrap chunk tags around it and then when you create a page, you can leave the TV under your template blank or add the chunk name.
Leaving it blank doesn’t include the chunk, putting in the chunk name will include the chunk on that particular page.
It’s a bit of a whistlestop tour of how to do it as I’m stuck for time at the moment, but try it and if you get stuck I’ll post more details later on.
alright.
Thanks Pete. I was just totally confused by that.
Thanks,
Chuck
