I am a little embarassed to ask this but the document is not that clear to me on this basic question. Can Web Users create/edit/delete pages? Or is it stricktly for reading restricted documents? huh

You need Manager users for document creation/editing/etc.

OK. Thanks. That’s what I wanted to know.

I have used WordExpress but it is rather complicated for the end user. I have worked on many hours to roll my own but the task seems to grow and grow. Not a one man project any more. I would like to spend some time on Modx. I may abandon my own effort and get on with Modx, possibly writing plugins and modules to it for more specific applications that I need. Modx seems very viable. Excellent work!

There are a few snippets available (NewsManager for example) to allow web users to create and edit documents, but they are still a little rudimentary. Shortly the user system of MODx will be redesigned, and it will be much easier to make simple systems for your users.

For now, you’ll want to look closely at the "roles" feature in the Manager to limit what your users see and do.
