So I’m working on this site, it’s almost finished... and I just noticed it has a bad habit of crashing Internet Explorer 6 (Win XP SP2). shocked
    The site is here: http://rkzbios.nl/nieuw/
In Firefox everything seems fine, but IE, after viewing a couple of random pages within the site, just crashes without a warning. I have a feeling this is caused by MODx, rather than the markup itself. I think this problem started after I upgraded from 0.9.5 RC2 tot 0.9.5 (stable).
I had trouble with IE 6 before with this site: I got ’Page not found’ errors. These disappeared after I removed the Base href. But this time I have no clue what’s going on... I would be very grateful if some people could to visit the site and confirm the problem. Solutions would be even better wink

    Server info:
    Server API: CGI/FastCGI
    PHP Version 4.3.11
    Server: Apache/2.0.58 (FreeBSD) mod_ssl/2.0.58 OpenSSL/0.9.7e
Thanks for MODx - I love it!

Use the export HTML function inside the manager and see if it does the same thing on the resulting files served from that server. If so, it’s something in the HTML structure. If not, it very well might be MODx, though I’d be a bit surprised (but it could happen!).

Thanks for your speedy reply smiley
The exported site didn’t crash IE. However, that site didn’t have any javascript... right now I think the cause of the mess is the UFO script (http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/ufo/) I’ve been using to put some Flash into the site. I suppose UFO and my own little scripts don’t play well together...
Anyhow, I’m a bit closer to a solution, I think. Thanks!

Try the latest version of UFO as I faintly recall issues with older versions too.

I’ve got the latest version... but after some more testing I’m now pretty sure ufo is the problem. Hm. Anyway, thanks for your attention!

Edit: I think this is what’s going on: http://blog.deconcept.com/2006/01/11/getvariable-setvariable-crash-internet-explorer-flash-6/

Edit 2: And I’m sorry I almost blamed MODx smiley
