Weblinks broken

I posted this problem here ’http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,2684.0.html, but I thought a new topic might be in order.

To recap:

Weblinks do not work. When I click on one, instead of getting the correct URL, I get a blank page except for some text in the upper left. This text IS the URL I want to go to. check this out: http://heav.org/aboutheav.html

After a thorough expedition into the database, I discovered several things:

First: Weblinks are stored as documents in the content table.
Weblinks have the weblink in the content field.
The type field of a weblink is set as reference, as opposed to a normal document, which is type - document

Second: The database structure is exactly the same in 0.9.5 (the problem site is running 0.9.2.2)

Third: This is the exact same setup of a site where weblinks DO WORK.

So, what am I missing?

Upgrade to 0.9.5 -- this was a problem that plagued quite a few people with the 0.9.2 releases. Many of them would not upgrade from 0.9.1 because of it. That said, I can say with some confidence that 0.9.5 will fix it. Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone was ever able to diagnose why this happened, and only with some weblinks on some installs in certain environments, but it wasn’t from a lack of trying.

OK, I’ll go ahead and upgrade.
