    Hi,

I have just installed a fresh new version 9.5 to use with our new company website. The problem is that the site already uses a manager folder for it’s control panel! So when I go to login to modx I get my website control panel login page instead - any ideas how I can get around this?

    Thanks,
    Cliff.

The only solution at this point is to install MODx in a subfolder, such as /modx or something. Then the link to the manager will be /modx/manager. Make sure you edit the .htaccess file to take care of the extra directory in the path.

Okay - that’s no problem at all, so, just to make sure, with editing the .htaccess file I can have the homepage I create in modx appearing when I type in my domain name?

So there is absolutely no way to rename the manager folder - even during installation?

        Thanks for your help,

        Cliff.

not at this time, but it is one of the items on the roadmap to MODx 1.0

Thanks for the confirmation. And on my other question - just to make sure, with editing the .htaccess file I can have the homepage I create in the modx subfolder appearing when I type in my domain name? I just need to make sure before I start building.

            Thanks again,
