I’ve just started using MODx and was wondering if there’s a way to reset assigned document IDs, or manually change existing document IDs. I’ve been playing around with creating and deleting documents, and now when I create a new document the ID is starting in the 20s, even tho I have deleted documents that had IDs before this value. Is a history of all previous doc IDs kept somewhere in the MySQL database, or is there a PHP file I can edit?

This is not a major problem, but a solution would satisfy my need for good housekeeping!

I think this is just due to the way that MySQL auto-increments. If you want, you can use phpMyAdmin (or any db tool) to manually change ID #’s, but I can not 100% guarentee that it will not break some things if you do. make sure you are mindful of the site start page in the system configuration.

I can surely say that TVs are linked through documents ID, so keep your eyes open.
