    Hi

Well just solved the friendly url problem.....

For those of you having problems with Friendly URL.... Follow this step

    1. Change the ht.access file to .htaccess both in the main folder as well as the manager folder.
    2. Edit the .htaccess file to reference your root folder...ex: I have put my modx files under a folder called "modx" under the server root ... so the code would be

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /modx
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA,NC]

    3. Once you have finished with the installation check your system configuration by going to REPORTS > SYSTEM INFO > under Server click on VIEW beside phpinfo.
Confirm the apache2handler or apachehandler has mod_rewrite loaded
    Loaded Modules core mod_access mod_auth mod_log_config mod_logio mod_env mod_setenvif prefork http_core mod_mime mod_status
                                mod_autoindex mod_negotiation mod_dir mod_alias mod_so mod_actions mod_asis mod_auth_mysql mod_cache mod_cgi
                                mod_expires mod_file_cache mod_headers mod_include mod_mem_cache mod_php5 mod_rewrite mod_userdir mod_usertrack
                                mod_vhost_alias

4.Confirm that the virtual directory has
    AllowOverride All

    if not change it
(( for ppl using Apache check your httpd.conf and for those using Apache 2 check your site-enabled folder.. edit the default file))
    5. Reload Apache once these changes are done.
    6. Use the following configuration for Friendly URL
    Use friendly URL : Yes
Prefix for friendly URL : Blank
Suffix for friendly URL : .html
    Use friendly Aliases : Yes
Use friendly Aliases Path : Yes
    Allow Duplicate Alias : Yes
    Automatically generate Aliases : Yes

Check you pages.. it should work now!!!

    Regards
