Lost password

I know it’s stupid, but i’ve lost the admin password for one of my clients - I relied on it being there when clicking on the bookmark and now I’ve lost it

How can I retrieve it or change it?

You’ll need to go into the database and change it. It cannot be recovered. When you change it, make sure to apply the md5 function to it.

Thanks! It would be a good idea to include some kind of ’forgot your password?’ function within modx ... or perhaps I should just write them down

This is included in the latest 0.9.5 release candidates. If you are just getting started with MODx, it might not be a bad idea to try the 0.9.5 RC3 instead of encountering all the bugs that have been fixed since 0.9.2 was released.
