Well, couldn’t figure out how to initialize content using the blogContent tv, so made a chunk with the TinyMCE code using the editor_selector option which allows for easier selection of std textarea or rte input.
Chunk ’enableRte’
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="[(base_url)]assets/plugins/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></script>
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
tinyMCE.init({
mode : "textareas",
editor_selector : "rte"
});
</script>
Then can use in a form snippet, example to enable using the class="rte" parameter’
$content = isset($_POST['content']) ? $_POST['content'] : 'Initial info';
$modx->setPlaceholder('content', mysql_real_escape_string($content));
$output = '{{enableRte}}
<form method="post" action="[~[*id*]~]">
Content:</br>
<textarea name="content" class="rte" rows="15" cols="50">[+content+]</textarea>
<input type="submit">
</form>';
return $output;
This seems a simpler approach where it’s easier to choose a simple textarea (no class="rte") or to use an rte as shown above.
