How can I create two templates and different content data.......

I am trying to create an application which has two templates. The first is the static home page. It contains some 5 image links which when clicked loads the second template. Each link has different content which is displayed in the second template.
I have created the first template. This template displays a content from one document I have created. Now i have to create a second template and content for each links in the first template.
How can I accomplish this with modx....

Create a document for each image, with the content you want, and assign the second template to them. Have the links in the images link to those documents.

Turn your thinking around... you link to documents, documents are given templates. You don’t link to templates.
