I created a basic template structure and created a document which uses this template. Then i tried to insert some Template variables like check box, Text Area etc. But only the default value specified is displayed and not the variables
Please help....
Thanks
The Template Variables i created are visible in the document edit area in the manager, but not in the template. I tried with all possible methods given in the documentation to create and add a TV. But did not get the proper result. Could anyone please tell me what may be the problem.
Thanks..

Did you put the [*TVname*] tags where you want them to appear in your template or document content? If so, are you sure there are no spelling discrepancies?
yes, I put the [*TVname*] tag in the template and as well tried with document content and spelling is correct. But only the default value I specified in the TV default value option field displays.
Hi susan,
I checked for any probable errors while creating a TV. But I did not find any. Only TV for text is working. No other options like Text Area, drop down.....etc are working.
I am trying to develop an application but got stuck in the very first page as these TV are not working...
please help me solve this....
Thanks.....

then I can’t imagine why you should be having this problem. Can you PM me with a temporary login to your Manager, and I’ll take a look?
Thanks a lot for your help so far....
The application I am trying to create is just to learn MODX and not a commercial project. Therefore I am working on MODx installed in my local system. So i am afraid you can’t access my manager to check the things. But i dont know if you can do so...
I will work on the TV for some more time to check if i have missed anything. I will post a reply after that.
BTW I have a query regarding TV...
1. when I choose the various Input types to create variables, Is choosing a widget mandatory. Because I got a text box displayed in the template when I chose Rich text widget for a text area input type.

Upgrade to the 095 RC2 or if you have subversion the latest trunk. I suspect your issues will disappear.
