    I am using tinyMCE Editor in one of my modules and cannot seem to figure out why the content will not stretch to the width of the editor window. Has anyone ever run into this issue and know of a solution?

    I am using the following code to call the editor:

    $replace_richtexteditor = array("post_event_note");
    if(is_array($replace_richtexteditor)) {
    // invoke OnRichTextEditorInit event
    $evtOut = $modx->invokeEvent("OnRichTextEditorInit",
    array(
    ’editor’ => $modx->config[’which_editor’],
    ’elements’ => $replace_richtexteditor,
    ));
    if(is_array($evtOut)) echo implode("",$evtOut);
    }

    attached is a screenshot of what it is doing.

      Have you fixed the width of the original textarea in any way? eg. to a certain number of columns. I can only think it to be a CSS/styling issue - or maybe, at a stretch, a JS issue. Are you getting any errors showing in the Javascript console?

        Found out what it was. you have to set the textarea width to 100% for tinyMCE. FCK Editor does not need it.

        thanks for your help on this though.
