I was hoping to enable multiple images to be uploaded in a single zip file and then unzip the file using the file manager functionality ("Resources / Manage Files"). However, when I upload a .zip file and click on the "unzip" icon, I get the following error:

"Unzip Failed! Missing zip library (php_zip.dll / zip.so)"

Any help with resolving this would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Anton

what type of server are you running this on?
Apache? IIS? what version of PHP?
Is this possibly XAMPP on a windows PC?

        Hi Scotty,

From cPanel, the server details are:

        Operating system Linux
        Kernel version 2.6.18.1
        Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
        PHP version 5.1.6

        Thanks,
        Anton

          Anton,

It seems that php on your server isn’t compiled with zip libraries support, you can ask your host about it. The feature you need to use is dependant on those php libraries.

          Hope this helps.

          regards,

          zi

            Hi Zi,

What, specifically, should I ask them to install? I assume the "zip.so" library is required, but is there anything else I should be asking for?

            Thanks,
            Anton

Just ask them to enable zip libraries which allows you to extract the zip archives on the server.

              regards.

The Modx file manager, I understand will not unzip archives as of Revolution 2.5.7 You can do this with your webserver fileserver or upload entire directories using Filezilla.

You should be able to extract them in cPanel's File Manager if you have that.

Server side is much easier for most things (uploading especially) so use cPanel in your hoster
