    Whenever I access my Document with NewsPublisher my form is filled in with the items from my last post. I have Cacheable disabled and I am calling using [!.

    Assuming I was just not following directions, I kept looking in the docs and forums and finally followed the directions at http://modxcms.com/blog-publish.html, even though there were some differences in the way the TV form looks on my version (0.9.2.2).

    The above page should be removed or updated in the docs. The directions can’t be followed and the resulting form does not display the needed fields.

    The real problem that I have is that even with the code from the above page, my previous post is populating the form, as if I were going to edit that content, or repeat the content - I didn’t try to submit it.

    Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? I assume the later.

      Have you tried switching browsers? Which are you using?
        No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

        Sounds like an overeager form autofill... nothing that MODx has control over I don’t think, though maybe you could add the following to your template/form in the fields you don’t want autocompleting. Add the following attribute to the input tags:

         autocomplete="off"

          Browsers: IE6, FireFox2 - I use IE. I didn’t check Firefox until you suggested it.

          It is not the browser. I logged into the User account on another computer completely and the form autopopulates with the data. This has to be a bug, right?

              Solved (by way of a fudge). It’s not a bug, and it’s not you doing anything wrong.

              What it was is that the NewsListing in the left column was setting placeholders (the [+content+] bits) with the same names as the ones in the form. So instead of being blank, they were filled with the oldest blog post. The replacement for NewsListing, Ditto, probably doesn’t have this issue.

              So the solution, albeit a fairly rubbish one, was to change the template used by Add Entry. I duplicated the one it was using and removed the NewsListing call. This means that the placeholders aren’t being set on that page and so the form is not populated.

              (Oh, and you missed out &formtpl=`BlogForm` from your form, so it was showing the other form.)

              Hope that helped.

              Documentation will be revamped after 0.9.5 hits.

                Thank you Paul!

                I think I did start to install Ditto, so I will have to move forward with that. I don’t know if you notice, but the form is missing the Content Textarea using &formtpl=`BlogForm` which is why I reverted for now back to the standard form.

                Thanks again for your help!
