It depends on the Javascript Library you’re using.

It depends on the Javascript Library you’re using.У меня по умолчанию highslide, я отдельно не прописывал какой JS пользоваться.
I made an example once, but I’ve deleted the database from the scratch. Tongue
But your question just remind me of it.
There are different styles of those JS libs on doing the captions.
So, which one are you using?
I believe he wanted to say that you could change the title

Looks like I now understand what you’re up to.
Have you try to guess [+easy2:cat_description+] ?
Here is a small secret of the placeholders of Easy 2 Gallery:
You can call EVERY field in the database as a placeholder, although I or Temus didn’t even mention about them.
Example:
This is what WIKI says, and these are the fields that Easy2 has. Look, different.
Now, what does the snippet do?
It only adds some more placeholders that need functions to give different result, like [+easy2:title+], which is not exactly a database content, but only a switch function of an empty [+easy2:cat_alias+] so it can roll back as [+easy2:cat_name+].
I don’t know how deep is your PHP knowledge, but if you can see the last link, it is one of the easy2’s looping processes to fill up the database’s field names + more placeholders (like: w, h, permalink, thumbnail’s target, modx’s alias path link) into output templates.
So, guess what,
If you do not set any alias for your folder, then [+easy2:title+] is just the same as [+easy2:cat_name+]
In 1.4.0 RC-3, its in here.
And in what php a file these are set placeholders? Searched, hasn’t found ((
