I just resolved some issues, including the chmod and chown (I need report here, since my live site doesn’t have any problem on this) problems.

You still can use the module, but the ZIP features (upload + download) will be gone.

I’m using ’Easy 2 Gallery 1.4.0 - RC 1’ with MODx 1.0.4 and seem unable to upload Zip files or Synchronize. When I click either button the page frame goes blank and there is no error message or action triggered.

Is this a known issue?

@Sanders,
Please check your apache’s error logs.
It usually happens when your server doesn’t allow these functions: fwrite(), fopen(), set_time_limit(), or so. It needs them to write configs.
I’ll drop the RC-2 into the extra area now, it uses database not file writing anymore. You may be better start using RC-2.

еще вопрос: при [!easy2? gid=`2`!] не выводит фото, что делать?
где gid=`2` - это папка с фото Gallery [id: 2]

disabled your javascript?

try to remove the class="e2g_wrapper"
<div id="e2g_wrapper_1">
from gallery.htm

The sizzle selector (selecting the class) was meant to hide gallery when people disable their javascript.
By pass it.

Не подскажешь еще, как подключить в вызов галерею (на вкладке Menu/Slideshow есть различные слайдшоу):

UPD. нашел такое решение
[!easy2? &slideshow=`smoothgallery` &ss_config=`???` &w=`100` &h=`100` &ss_limit=`30` &gid=`2`!]

но что такое &ss_config=`???`
&ss_config - custom configuration/options for each of slideshow types. (пользовательские конфигурации / варианты для каждого из типов слайд-шоу.)

Upd2. Ага, откопал примерчики http://arslantic.co.id/evo/slideshows/

Использую каталоги. Сперва идет каталог serials, в нем каталоги a,b,c,d...z. А в них тоже каталоги. И все равно при первом обращении долго грузится
