    Hello!
How can I add functionality to allow registered web-users login via front-end and access some pages, unaccessable for not-logined users?
Must I install some additional modules?

Note: I don’t want to allow visitors to register by themselves, instead I’ll create web-user accounts by myself.
    Thanks!

Use the "web user" management system, in the "Security" menu.

      In "web permissions"
      1. Create a web group for these users.
      2. Create a document group for the pages only these user can see.
      3. Connect the web group to the document group.

When editing a document (check boxes at the bottom)
      4. Assign the documents in question to the document group you created.

When creating a new web user
      5. Assign the web users to the web group you created.

        Thank you, sottwell,
but how to allow them to log-in? I have read in documentation, that I must use [[WebLogin]] Snippet, but I can’t find this snippet .... Where to look for it?

PS. Sorry, I’ve already found this snippet in standart modx snippets. Thanks again!

It should be available under Snippets, but if it is not you can create it.

Ooooops! I just went looking in the repository and did not find the package. I am sure it is part of the base installation, but you had the option of not installing it. unzip the "weblogin" folder under snippets in an original package and upload it to the server then create the snippet from the .tpl (is that right?) file in the folder.

Actually, it’s an entire package, and includes a folder full of php files that need to be in the assets/snippets folder.
