Groupware on MODx - it's possible?

Hi there, dear friends. At first, sorry for my english - is not my native language ,-)

After long time using MS Outlook, i want to simplify my own and my colleagues life. I’ll make Groupware system, and MODx looks good enough for that, so i abandon my cms quest.

I think, cooperative mind can recommend me modules for my goals or tell me, which modules i must write myself.

What i need:

- few levels of users, whose rights administrator can assign
- clean URLs - i want to open people’s personal page by typing in address like http://workgroup.ru/johnsmith/

Personalised functions:

- user johnsmith must be able to list all system users and check users, who can see john’s page.
- administrator must be able to create for every (and any) user personal page with: download area, forum, blog, news, calendar and few static pages (just for "short about me")

Now function for all users:

- website IM
- calendar, where assembled all entrys from personal calendars
- webmail interface
- rss-reader

I can’t help you with everything as I’m new to MODx myself as well, but hopefully I can give you some pointings in the right direction.

Personalised things; perhaps you can look in the ’Multiple virtual instances of MODx’, not exactly sure what its name was, which was posted on the ’In Development’ board, on the other hand it might not be what you’re looking for, some smart url rewriting could also do quite some of the job

Website IM - havent seen that yet.
Calendar, DittoCal, though i’m not sure how advanced this is yet.
Webmail interface - didn’t see that one yet either.
RSS Reader- missing as well, with some modifications NewsListingX might do the job.

DittoCal - it is an advanced blog system? I still not try it, but heard about ultra-wide-usability of.

Ditto is a NewsLister fork, but it’s quite scalable. DittoCal is an example of that, it’s a calendar using (a part of) Ditto’s code, as far as I’ve seen it’s quite a nice one
