I was looking to modify the weblogin snippet so that a user will only need an email address to login. No password would be required. If the email address wasn’t already in the database then they would be brought to a form to sign up.

Looking at the code I got really confused. Would this even be possible or would i have to create my own script.

    Thanks
    Brian

Your own script using that as a basis. Note that email is kept in a different table to userid.

Also, whilst I’m all in favour of using email addresses as logins, you shouldn’t allow anything more than read access without a password.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

I seem to remember someone setting up a way to authenticate against an IMAP server but I am not quite sure of this...

        Edit : Found it !

Yea I am not looking do give web users write access to any of the pages. I just want them to be able to view certain pages.

If I end up creating my own login script what session variables need to be set in order to allow access to the protected pages.
