Statistics have been stripped from the distribution as of version 0.9.5. The consensus was that many users simply didn’t want them on by default, didn’t want them in the manager, and preferred to use a plugin and/or server logs for statistics. We also tend to feel that MODx should be and always remain as flexible as possible. As such the decision was made to pull the built-in statistics in favor of making it more of an add-on and allow the developer of the site the freedom to choose which statistics package to use.

There are other statistics packages that do a much better job than the previously built-in statistics. A few of them are available through the repository (http://modxcms.com/resource-listing.html?tags=statistics). Google Analytics and Mint are a few that can be easily integrated with MODx.

Hope this answers your question! laugh

The built in stats also caused sever problems with performance on sites. Rather than try to reinvent Google Analytics, BBClone, Slimstats, Mint, AWStat, PHPstats or a myriad of other items, we felt it was best to let people integrate what they prefer and focus on the rest of the core. There is a mini-page viewer stats module available.
