    Hello guys,
I would like to request a crash-course - type of personal consultation from the experts in ModX.

What I looking for is to learn how to quickly create cross browser-portable simple customizable ModX site.
I want to be able to learn how to painlessly customize look and feel of site - as well as add blog, discussion forum, photo gallery and perhaps e-commerce capabilities.

The site needs to be pretty basic and clean - sort of like this: http://abovethefold.org - but I want learn how to customize it from all sides (including adding footer with text links as well).

This is my second try on ModX and I amazed how well it is designed - but I need to fill a gap to get it going.
I know computers rather well but not much experience with PHP or ModX internal variables and definitions.
I have limited time and if expert in ModX would guide me step by step including snippets of code and where to put what to achieve the decent result - this would get me going pretty fast.

From my side I could offer monetary compensation - within say $100 budget - which I can either pay to expert personally or donate to the good ModX community causes on your behalf - your choice. I also belong to rather large groups of marketing community that are interested in simple ways to create SEO aware sites - so if I’d learn how to do the above - take my word for it - I’ll buzz about my good experience to few thousands of really interested people.

If there is anyone in Ottawa, Ontario - that would be great. If not - then I could call someone within USA - no problem.
Please contact me if interested - glebesman at gmail dot com

How much personal one-on-one time would you expect for $100 to help develop your website, and what do you mean by "decent result"? Would that include blog, forum, photo gallery and e-commerce?

I believe you’ll find that if you are willing to learn from the existing resources and endure a little pain, the people on this forum will answer many of your questions, on the grounds that any response will help future people also.

But I think you’ll need to be a bit more specific about what you expect if you want personal consultation.

Incidentally, the site you link to uses PayPal’s cart system.
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.
