How can I change a document’s ID number?

You can´t. The id is the key index of the document in the database table and can´t be changed. You can try to do this directly via phpmyadmin, but I wouldn´t do that because other tables referr to this id like TVs and so on.
There is a module called ReplacePage that switches the ID’s of selected document’s, but like Marc said, other tables refer to these id’s and if you have TV’s on the document, they may break.. I’m not sure if ReplacePage looks for that..

I wanted to make it so I could change the sequence that pages would be shown in a list. I figured it out with the ’Menu index’ setting. Thanks.
