    Hello,

    I am having quite a few issue with the manager in version 9.2.1 in which I get several errors.

    Any help as to what might be causing these issues is very welcome!

    Also would having several subdomains pointed to the folder with modx cause a problem?

    Thanks

      Try updating to the latest public beta. Have you hacked the code to support subsites?

        I just tried the public beta which also has the same results (errors) While I didn’t think to copy them for posting I can if you think they will help.

        This is a standard install so hacking subsites? I wouldn’t think different subdomains pointed to the same folder would cause a problem, but im rather new to CMS systems in general so idk...

        Thanks

          OK... so time for your server details. smiley

          When you tried the beta 5, was it a fresh install in a separate database?

            Hello,

            Both versions were installed using MySQL 5.0.15 databases and unless updated PHP v4.4.1 & PHP v5.1.4 are supported. By default they should be running PHP 4 as I recall seeing that 5 runs a CGI and other stuff, but isn’t recommended so I guess 4 is default.

            If I missed something please let me know.

            Oh as the error message already state the sites are in the directory /chapters/x/installed here..

            Thanks

                Hmmmm... I’m wondering if you actually got it installed fully. Lines 15-18 in the file referenced in your error include very simple SQL code:
                $sql = "SELECT setting_name, setting_value FROM $dbase." . $table_prefix . "user_settings WHERE user=" . $user_id;
                $rs = mysql_query($sql);
                $number_of_settings = mysql_num_rows($rs);

                Try a fresh install from scratch on a new database.

                  I was able to run the install aspect and get everything configured etc.

                  The error messages from above are from what I consider to be a configured site.

                  I don’t have the messages from the beta version, but they were on first login to the site.. Or attemped login.

                  I could have very well missed something in the standard install aspect as these are my first active installs. I did have one development install prior to these which worked fine.. Granted there were two differences:
                  1. /development/installed here
                  2. only one access address (control.domain.com)

                  To add to all the mix here is another error message from the most developed site among the group.

                  error replacing into active users! SQL: REPLACE INTO `lowaneu_mawat`.modx_active_users (internalKey, username, lasthit, action, id, ip) values(’1’, ’admin’, ’1162441252’, ’2’, ’’, ’-ip address withheld-’)

                  This came up in the main error when attempting to login to the site.

                  If you would like to take a look at one of the installs for yourself let me know and I can setup an ftp account and get you the login info for you to mess around.

                  This is the most user friendly CMS that I have found so far and I really want it to work as it makes my life about 200 times easier. The front ends work fine right now, but I really need to get the manager working before people start griping and im forced to find a replacement CMS.. (which I would consider imposable from what I’ve seen)

                  Thanks for all the help

                    Here are the page area errors in 9.5 Beta

                    Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /mounted-storage/home8/sub002/sc15283-BTBS/chapters/oiyatah/manager/includes/user_settings.inc.php on line 17

                    Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /mounted-storage/home8/sub002/sc15283-BTBS/chapters/oiyatah/manager/includes/user_settings.inc.php on line 19

                    Im currently drawing errors from 3 different installs. 2x 9.2.1 and 1x 9.5 Beta installs.

                    If you need help finding problems then you have the right person.. Right now I feel like the bug magnet.. Anyone got some raid?

                      I sorta found a fix I think....

                      I was able to successfully login using one of the original setup addresses. I didn’t even think that the login address could effect the manager functionality, but so far the results look promising.

                      Does anyone know if there is a way to correct this so the different addresses will work to login to the manager or if there is a way to force all traffic trying to use the manager to the original setup address?

                      Thanks
