backing up!

Hi,

my host has become a bit shakey recently, so i was wondering how can i back up my modx site.?

Dump the database using the backup tool, and copy all your files, especially those in the assets directory, to your local drive using FTP. There’s also a module to help with this, though I’ve not tested it personally.

great, so is that all i need to do if i lose evertything? will this save all the templates, snippets etc i have created in the manager?

Your database dump will contain all your resources indeed, and your assets folder will contain any externally needed files.
