    Hello,

I am trying to install modx side-by-side with a clients existing system in the hopes of migrating more pages to modx. I did it once before where all of the pages were real php files and it worked great. I would copy the content of the file into modx and then delete the file and voila - the redirect sent it to the modx version and no one noticed.

The site I’m working on now is a little different. Most of the pages already use rewrite to redirect them to handler pages like this:

    RewriteRule ^pr_[A-Za-z0-9_]+_([0-9]+)\.html$ /product.php?product_id=$1 [L]
    RewriteRule ^mo_[A-Za-z0-9_]+_([0-9]+)\.html$ /model.php?model_id=$1 [L]

I wanted to put the modx rewrite at the bottom and thought that if the URI matched their old system - it would catch it and for new content that won’t use their naming convention - it’ll fall through to the modx catchall.
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ indexmodx.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]

But it’s not working, everything goes through modx.

I know this is more of a rewrite questions than modx-- but I’m already here.

    Thanks,
