    hi!

    Website feedback: Your forums don’t display correctly in Opera 9.02 Final, I think you should fix that.. itz annoying

    Opera 9.02 Is the only browser on the world for x86 that supports nearly every webstandard of the W3C consortium!
    It’s the fastest and the most secure browser on the world by the way (no joke), the only bad side on Opera is that it has no Extensions like Firefox has.
    But this is due to the philosophy of that company they want to sell not to give you gifts..

    @FireFox freaks...don’t blame yourself.. try http://www.webstandards.org/files/acid2/test.html then tell me if the TEST displayed correctly..haha
    2nd Opera starts up faster..and uses less memory
    @IE 7 users..sry but you already blamed yourself by using a browser that doesn’t follow any standards...

    By the way: I’m using FireFox as system default browser, due to the plugins it has only. But I’m using Opera as main browser. I need IE7 rarely on MS sites and to test if the site I coded displays correctly on the worst browser ever made. Opera loads up very fast then IE7 last Firefox it takes too much time to load up for me.
    Opera would be the only browser on the system, if it had "Extensions" and IE was not preinstalled and integrated into the system so deeply and I could rightclick on Bookmarks from the menu.
    however I’d to use them all sad and optimize sites to display correcly in Opera than Firefox and last in IE.

    cheers .X4

      Looks fine to me in Opera 9.02 on Windows, what are the display problems you’re having? (Perhaps a screenshot may help here)

        No problems in Opera 9.01 either here...
          If I could start again
          A million miles away
          I would keep myself
          I would find a way

          The traffic on this site is over 60% Fx, about 23% IE and the about 4% each Saf and Op, FYI. In web development the firebug and web developer extensions grossly outweigh any speed or start up times.

          And btw, Safari was Acid2 compliant before Opera! tongue

                I think I am confused?

                Ryan, can you help me see the connection between Opera 9 on (what OS?) + MODx + opensolaris + plaque and the tooth decay conspiracy + metallica.

                Maybe do a google search for it, I don’t have the kind of time it would require to do this myself. Plus it’s your obligation to answer this for me.

                  ScottyD,

                  Last I checked, Metallica clearly helps prevent tooth decay according to 4 out of 5 dentists surveyed [especially when used in conjunction with proper web browsers].

                  I unfortunately don’t have the bandwidth to track down any opera issues through the end of the year, so if someone needs it fixed, they’ll need to point me explicitly, code complete, in the right direction. Not the PC answer, but it’s the truth. smiley

                    Xsss4hell, I think the best way of avoiding annoyance is simply to not use the "Start new topic" or "Post reply" functions except where really necessary.
                      No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.

                      ...
                      I found the bug, it’s the subject’s inputfield’s size value. (sry 4 my english)

                      /**
                        * line 414 - 415 here but may vary
                        * setting this to 100% breaks the layout also
                      *  <input type="text" name="subject" value="Re: MODx forums doesn’t display correctly in Opera" tabindex="1"
                      *    size="80" maxlength="80" />
                      *    ^^^^^^^^this breaks the layout
                      **/

                      I use Opera 9.02 on Windows XP
                      IE for sites that don’t work on Opera
                      and FireFox sometimes..

                      comment:
                      SMF is great, but is using tables for comments etc. correct, or would it be incorrect to use layers instead?
