    Server Enviroment:
    Windows 2003 SE w/SP1
IIS6 (running in IIS5 Isolation Mode)
    PHP 5.1.5 (ISAPI)
    MySQL 5.0.24
    Helicon ISAPI_Rewrite Lite
    MODx 0.9.2

    Client Enviroment:
    Internet Explorer 6 & FireFox 1.5
    Windows XP w/SP2

    Error Encountered:
    Manager >Resources >Manage Files

    Error:
    Uploading layout.JPG to /assets/images/

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\php17.tmp in X:\Inetpub\wwwroot\[domain.tld]\www\manager\actions\dynamic\files.dynamic.action.php on line 78
    File type: image/pjpeg, 0 B

Uploading of this kind of file isn’t allowed!

    Up one level

    Directory writable? Yes.

    Synopsis:
There does not seem to be a problem with all jpeg’s or all files, only jpeg’s that are generated using CTRL+PrintScreen+Saved using MS Paint as jpeg. I have no problems uploading other files. My ’temp’ directory is not configured as C:\Windows\Temp in my php.ini and I am unsure how MODx has determinied this to be the case.

    Thoughts?

Is there any other information that I should add in order to receive some help on this?

      Thanks

Possibly it’s case-sensitive, and has ".jpg" specified as allowable, but not ".JPG"?

You are exactly right about the extension being case sensitive...MS Paint always capitalizes the extension. Silly me thought it might be related to mime type or something. Thank you for pointing this out.

But, upon upload I still receive this error...

          Uploading layout.jpg to /assets/images/

Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\php1B.tmp in X:\Inetpub\wwwroot\[domain.tld]\www\manager\actions\dynamic\files.dynamic.action.php on line 78
          File type: image/pjpeg, 0 B

          File uploaded successfully!

Is it hardcoded to use C:\WINDOWS\TEMP in MODx with Windows installtions for uploads? I use a custom directory for both sessions and uploads, both of which are defined in my php.ini.

Again, thank you for assisting me.

I’ve seen that same exact error report on IIS with PHP 5 although the uploads definitely seem to work.

It looks to me like the upload_dir path isn’t being picked up correctly in your php.ini - it’s PHP, not MODx, that is defaulting to the system temp path in the absence of the custom path.

The warning itself, I believe, is caused by a permissions problem on the directory.

Problem solved...for some reason in my php.ini my defined directory was commented out. As soon as I uncommented it and restarted IIS it works like a charm. No more errors!

Apparently I was experiencing the ID-10-T error. laugh

For wasting your time I would like to offer a tutorial or post of some sort for getting MODx running under Windows 2000/2003 with IIS6, PHP5, and MySQL5 including appropriate ACL’s and enabling MODx rewrite capabilities. Where to put such a thing?

I have been preaching this framework to everyone I meet that might be interested, including my employer. Not only a great idea but a great impementation. Hats off to you guys and gals.

Much appreciated, sounds like a candidate for the MODx Wiki. smiley

That would be much much appreciated! There might even be reason to start a MODx under IIS topic in the support forums.
