HTML choice or Flash choice in one template

Do you only want the flash on one page, or on all pages?

well I want a totally flash site and a totaly html site which will actually be 1 site with 2 different headers depended on the choice of the user.
Can TV Conditional be used for this? http://modxcms.com/TV-Conditional-607.html
I guess some modification (like the storage of the cookie is required. Can anyone help?

I don’t really see how this can be accomplished using one template, I’d in fact use three: one for the initial landing page where you give them the choice of using Flash or not, one that contains the html site template and the last one containing the layout and embedded flash for the flash version of the site.

It’s pointless giving them the option to switch in between unles you find a way to synchronise the actual page being viewed and the flash content when they switch.

If you don’t want to bother giving them the choice and just dishing out the flash version when they have the plugin installed then look at implementing swfobject as it replaces a div’s (who’s ID you supply) content with the actual flash object.

Surely you’d have to do that anyway? Unless you’ve found a way to import modx content into flash? By a Flash site do you mean just a flash header containing the navigation or the entire content within flash?

There was a demo of MODx content (demo content) running partially inside a flash container, so it is possible.
